Meet Syed Amjad Hussain Zaidy. Senior Project Engineer at Turbulent Flux. Humble. Structured. Client-centric. Motto: “Hard work pays off.”
Syed is the type of person everyone enjoys working with. He is humble and warm when he speaks, yet smart, driven and to the point in his actions. He quotes “Together strong”, when explaining why he enjoys working at Turbulent Flux. “I was intrigued by our cloud technology, the ambition to think outside of the box, and the impact and influence every single one of us can make to shape the future of this company. I worked with many good technologies in the past and I can say I feel home here.”
Syed is a Senior Project Engineer at Turbulent Flux. He works on the modeling of wells and setting up of VFMs for our clients. He also works as a project coordinator on the interactions with clients as well as provides training of our software. “I like working with clients – the value for me is to understand better how people think and what that means for our technology. It gives me the opportunity to receive first-hand feedback, something we then assess and implement accordingly. We want to shape the best software for our market.”
Syed has a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He started his career as a consultant at Scandpower and then continued as Production Engineer at Schlumberger and TechnipFMC.
“There are some really interesting technologies out there. Ours is a unique hybrid technology, taking the best of the physical capabilities and combining them with machine learning principles. Believe me, this is a big thing!”
Syed moved from Pakistan to Norway 12 years ago. He appreciates the opportunities Norway creates for him, the flat hierarchy, open door policy at work and integrity, but most of all the honesty the society lives by. Syed is a fish hobbyist and animal lover – meaning he has an interest and understanding in wildlife and marine biology. He is fascinated by the complexity and interconnectivity in the ecosystem we live in. Other than that, Syed loves to explore places of historical value and is fascinated by architecture. Syed also loves spending time with his family, whether it’s walking into the woods, playing board or video games with his daughters or simply watching movies together with his family. He feels happy and lucky then.
And we are happy and lucky to have Syed. Because with Syed, we stay one step ahead!
